Staying Healthy Over the Holidays

Everyone loves the holiday season. It gives you the chance to spend time with loved ones, exchange gifts, enjoy good food, and relax amidst beautiful decorations. However, this year is unlike any other, and it’s important to stay healthy. Following social distancing recommendations, wearing a mask if you must go out, and washing your hands are only the beginning. Today, we have a few of our favorite tips to stay healthy during the holiday season:

  • Drink sufficient water.

Staying hydrated is one of the best ways to stay healthy. It gets rid of waste, keeps your temperature normal, protects joints, and so much more. How much water you should drink differs according to your individual needs. The recommended eight glasses of water may not be suitable for everyone. A good sign you are drinking plenty of water is that you seldom feel thirsty, and your urine is pale yellow.

  • Get your yearly flu shot.

With the holiday season comes the flu. Now more than ever, it’s important to get your flu vaccination, especially since COVID-19 is still very much a risk in our world. Don’t hesitate and get your flu shot now.

  • Exercise regularly.

With gyms closed across the US and more of us are working from home, you may find it difficult to squeeze in an exercise routine.
